Hey There!

I’m Michael, a designer, animator, and creative based in Chicago.

I currently serve as an Assistant Director of Creative at Loyola University Chicago, where I lead a variety of projects that elevate the university's brand and showcase student and faculty work. Before moving to Chicago, I completed a master's degree in visual communication at the University of North Carolina Hussman School of Journalism and Media, where I was a Roy H. Park Fellow. I create work that makes scholarship—especially in the humanities—more accessible to the public, and I'm particularly interested in projects related to LGBTQ+ issues, gender studies, and American culture. I also hold a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Michigan.

When I’m not working, I enjoy running by the lake, reading, baking, and watching an indecent amount of reality television.
